Outreach Services

(785) 239-9435

Army Community Service's Outreach program is the baseline for service delivery to our customers. The goal is to coordinate services and increase awareness of our programs—not only at Fort Riley, but also in the outlying areas that surround our installation. It is our belief that the more we connect to our immediate and extended communities, the more likely we are to reach and serve our customers, particularly those who might not otherwise know about the programs and services we offer. To achieve this goal, we are currently working to establish satellite centers whereby Army Community Service informational handouts will be more readily available to those residing off of the installation.  We also can customize briefings for your activity that showcase the vast array of services and resources that are available through the ACS.  We also conduct frequent outreach events in the Fort Riley and Central Flint Hills Region.

A new strategy has been implemented since 2003 known as Unit Service Strategy (USS).  This strategy ensures that every military unit on Fort Riley has a specific ACS Unit Service Coordinator (USC) assigned with the unit.  This person is the Commanders personal link to the Army Community Service Family of services and resources.  It has been shown that this approach is effective at reducing time Commanders spend on solving Soldier and Family problems.  Units with an active USC reported higher satisfaction with ACS as an organization. With this strategy in place it also has shown a faster responsiveness to unit requests and needs.
