Relocation Readiness Program
The Relocation Readiness Programs offers a variety of services with-in its own program. These services include;
Two different Newcomer’s Orientations, offered to Soldiers, Family Members and DoD Civilians. The Relocation Readiness Program has partnered with In-processing and conducts an over-all briefing of ACS services to Soldiers and Family Members on Wednesday mornings at Riley’s
The Relocation program also has the Lending Closet. The lending closet is administered to provide basic housekeeping items for temporary loan to incoming and outgoing Families and in other cases determined appropriate. ACS personnel stock the lending closet with good quality items. At a minimum, items provided include basic kitchen equipment, high chairs, child car seats, play pens, cribs, ironing boards, and irons. This service can be used by incoming and outgoing personnel on PCS orders.
Welcome Packets are also managed through the Relocation Readiness program. These newly revised packets have replaced the routine traditional Welcome Packet that contained a variety of materials. These have been brought together to create a guide for even the newest Soldier and Family Member to know what needs to be done prior too and upon arrival to this area. There is also a Youth Packet with the details of school information and things for them to know and help learn about at their new home.
Sponsorship training Group trainings are available for branches of military Service Members. Training instructs Service Members how to be sponsors, where to locate information to send to incoming personnel and how to be an effective sponsor.
Waiting Spouses Program – “Hearts Apart”, offers support for waiting Families by linking Family members and children with other Families who are left behind due to the sponsor’s mission requirements. Hearts Apart is not a Family Readiness Group, but a supportive outreach service that assists the groups in their goal of maintaining military connectivity for identified waiting Family members.
Permanent Change of Station briefing assists Service members, Family members and DoD Civilians who are preparing to depart for their next duty station. Information on your next duty assignment, shipping household goods, family travel, passports, budgeting for your move are all provided.
Multi-Cultural & Citizenship Program, provides resources and information within the community on several topics that include; Immigration & Naturalization Forms & Assistance, Photo Service, Passport Information for Alien Relative, Fingerprint Services, Health Forms, Citizenship Classes, Translation Services, and English As A Second Language.
Welcome Center, Upon entering Fort Riley, stop by the Fort Riley’s Welcome Center. Located at exit 301 off Interstate 70, Bldg# 885. Our Welcome Center is conveniently located for new arrivals to obtain information needed to navigate on Fort Riley, Welcome Packets and additional resources. The staff will greet you with a warm friendly smile as they welcome you to your new home. If arriving after hours, please proceed directly to the 1st Replacement Company, Bldg# 208.
Army One-Stop Kiosk, These are a computer-based , multimedia display system designed to provide quick, easy consistent and secure information to users. The menu-driven graphical user interface makes the kiosk and ideal solution for accessing the internet and conveying a wide range of information to walk-up users, whether they are Soldiers, family members, DA Civilians or visitors. Fort Riley has seven kiosks available for the public located around the installation; Army Community Service, Bldg 7264, Mini-Mall, Bldg 6914, ACS Annex, Bldg 1020, SFAC, Bldg 671-A, Welcome Center, Bldg 885, Carr Hall, Bldg 45 and In/Out Processing, Bldg 210.

No, you don't have to have your orders to attend the briefing, but pre-registering is required.

What do I need to use the ACS Lending Closet?
You need your PCS orders and your ID card and you can get basic kitchen items until your household goods arrive. Please call ACS Relocation, 785-239-9435 for a complete list of items.
How do I become a United States Citizen?
If you are not a United States Citizen by birth, you may be eligible to become a citizen through naturalization.
Who is eligible to apply for naturalization?
